While this might be my least favorite Denis Villeneuve movie that’s still a high bar.
While the movie is a little slow for me especially in the beginning when the highway scene gets going that’s when the movie becomes interesting. It’s a fascinating story about morals and who wins against war with a fascinating performance by Benicio Del Toro this movie did get better on a rewatch but it will certainly be a while if I rewatch it again. I’m interested in rewatching the second one again though.

"What a beautiful story this is”
While it is a coincidence that I’m rewatching this movie on Valentine’s day but I’m glad I did. I remember liking it when I watched it the first time but I’ve been meaning to rewatch it for some time. A story about what could have been and the age old question are you happy? And an Eternal Sunshine shoutout what more else can you want. I do think my opinion will only grow every year I get older because of a theme that happens the more we get older. Regret.

“Dear Catherine”
My second favorite movie of all time. This movie could either destroy you or heal you depending on your day. Luckily it’s the healing kind for me for the most part every time I rewatch it. While some of the dialogue has not aged the greatest and might be seen as pretentious the beautiful cinematography, beautiful score and of course fantastic performances throughout kind of overwrite it for me.But more importantly this movie feels like a therapy…
