  I was really excited to watch this film about oppression, politics, religion and friendship in Afghanistan, directed by the first Afghan female filmmaker in the post - taliban era.

  The idea has a lot of potential, but the film fails to connect with the viewer, or at least it failed to connect with me. I missed depth in the characters, moments of truth, vulnerability; the film doesn't let you get to know Sima and Suraya enough to understand them, thus…
