  An embarrassing, incoherent mess. 

  The entire Ice Palace section is the lowest point of the Bond franchise: the invisible car, the tidal wave ‘chase’, Halle Berry’s “yo momma” moment… good grief. 

  With horrendous CGI and cheesy slow-mo action shots, this is one ugly-ass film. It certainly doesn’t sound great either, with David Arnold’s jumbled score and Madonna’s terribly out of place theme song. 

  Die Another Day is a necessary evil. Without it, Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale probably wouldn’t exist. I guess I should be thankful. I just never want to see it again.

  Harrowing and brutal beyond belief. I didn't expect such a visceral film. Does it go too far in places? Almost definitely. It's bound to provoke fans of Marilyn Monroe. Nevertheless, it's one of the most hard-hitting and effective biopics I've ever seen - if you can even call it that.

  There are glaring similarities to Fire Walk With Me, which would explain why I found this so absorbing. Just like Lynch's polarising prequel to Twin Peaks, I think Blonde's reputation…
