So much disappointment.
The film comes short in portraying any more serious topics. The actors are strong but fail to save this shallow film that might as well become THE definition of male gaze in all of its voyeurism, fetishisation, and scopophilia (and incest??). The aesthetics, though without a doubt stunning, do not add any more that couldn't have been grasped from the trailer. Slow 2023
Such an important topic (asexuality and, in general, the human condition) told with so much humanity. Loved the portrayal of a realistic relationship, the troubles, and just simply the 'human' way of being together with another person.
As a side note, it could also serve as a postcard of Vilnius, the streets, the bits and corners of buildings and apartments, all very charming and nostalgic.Translated from by
