  Μια από τις ταινίες που με χαρακτήρισαν και διαμόρφωσαν τον εαυτό μου. Την είδα ως μαθήτρια λυκείου και την αγάπησα από την πρώτη σκηνή. Ήθελα να είμαι δίπλα στον πρωταγωνιστή στις πρώτες χαρές που έζησε όταν κατατάχτηκε και παρουσιάστηκε στη φάλαγγα του στον Ισπανικό Εμφύλιο αλλά και τις απογοητεύσεις.

  A poem inside a poem. The most iconoclastic film I have ever seen. The director with the minimals supplies that he had, achieved to make a film that stays inside in your mind. When you close your eyes, you can see the red colour of the pomegranates, the white colour of innosence. You can hear the sound of the books' pages, the music of the silence.
  I simply adore this film.
