Great leads oh my god and i liked the story
sacrilegious but i feel like the non-musical parts were really good and didn’t really meld with the musical parts.
like the songs were good but it felt like they were doing too much at random times then like doing too little at other times.
music numbers also made the like pace kind of weird.
great movie at its peaks, eh movie at its valleys and a decent amount of mid but i have to love the earnestness of it.
it was alright. it’s not their fault how well this has aged but it’s almost too on the nose
beautiful! loved the politicking of it - it didn’t go on too long and had a twist at almost all the right parts.
Love how little this movie actually had to do with the church (the only crosses in the entire movie are the ones the cardinals wear; hell, they don’t even say the word jesus or christ in the entire movie).
