The Brutalist 2024
This felt more like watching a play than a movie... and NOT just because there's an intermission. Everything about it was of the most epic scale. I am glad to have seen it in theaters - I don't think my attention span would accommodate the focus required to take it in in a non-theater setting. But focus I did, and I'm better for it (if not a bit shaken).
Clear your day as you won't be able to think about much else when you're through. Must watch!

What an odd Tuesday. There were times when the movie felt like a fun, old school ode to its original version and to other horror movies past... And there were times that were just plain gross and uncomfortable. I guess this is the nature of horror movies, but I wouldn't say this was the kind of gross and uncomfortable that makes you think "I'm scared but still having fun watching this movie." It was just... gross and uncomfortable.
