To Chiara 2021
It may have dragged at times and the story sometimes teetered on the edge of believability, but overall I really enjoyed it. The moments when no dialogue was necessary to explain what was happening were powerful; the cinematography really effectively narrowed our perspective through this 15-year old protagonist; the music was great; the acting, especially since (I believe) most were non-professional actors, was impressive; and I especially liked the unique framing and messaging of this “mafia” story.

The Long Goodbye 2020
Honestly, the cinematography was a little nauseating and there are, in my opinion, more powerful and sophisticated ways to handle a story like this. But Riz Ahmed, as always, is so great
