    Bunny Lake Is Missing

    ★★★★½

I could have given it just a four but something about the time of this film was just so eerie I had to give it more. It’s of it’s time and ahead of it’s time all at the same time for a really amazing tonal mystery that feels completely fresh while also right at home in it’s time period.

  • Cop Car

    Cop Car

    ★★

Cop Car struggles with its own identity. Is it an artistic indie or a simple but effective thriller? The back and forth unfortunately makes it so it doesn’t fully accomplish either. It’s not a flat out bad film but it’s very forgettable.

  • The Petrified Forest

    The Petrified Forest

    ★★★½

It’s simple and of its time. Most people will be watching it to see an early Bogart role (I’m no exception) but the film is actually quite captivating with its rich characters and intriguing location. While it won’t go down as one of the greats of all time, it’s a film worth adding to your list if you appreciate cinema of the 1930’s.

  • Becoming Led Zeppelin

    Becoming Led Zeppelin

    ★★★

If you’re a real Zeppelin fan you will enjoy it for sure. Documentary wise it’s nothing special. It joins the large group of average rock docs that if you love the band you enjoy throwing it on but it’s not because of the filmmaking.
