  ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ by way of ‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’, shot through with ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolff?’ on the way to the theatre.

  Best SS film in years fueled by a top 3 Koepp script, and a sleek, ‘Ocean’s’-y score.

  ‘Goodfellas’ for the motor gang crowd, told from the POV of the spouse - an impeccable Jodie Comer - and threatening the same amount of rewatchability.

  A good film that scratches at being great, with exceptional ‘everything’, particularly its cast, minus a script that quibblingly cannot outride its conventionality.
