The Shining 1980
Probably my 8th time watching. Seriously HIGH IQ filmmaking. No slack. Effortlessly, relentlessly and hilariously fucked up from start to finish. And Jack Nicholson makes me laugh so much because he is 100% off the deep end from the moment we see him. And just when you think he can’t get any more psychotically deranged he manages to find some little detail that ratchets up his appearance of insanity by a factor of 10 - all while being believable and SO fun to watch. This whole film is just so fucking brilliant and chilling on so many levels I just… yea. Incredible.
