Powerful performances and a touching tribute to a real icon can't save this unevenly paced and uninspired plot full of CGI shlockfests. Sure there are a couple of cool action scenes and beautiful moments presented spectacularly by an amazing soundtrack...but overall it's a pretty boring film that makes you wonder every step of the way, what would happen in the version of this film that included our favorite T'challa.

Here's the thing.
After watching it a couple of times and without the nerd goggles on, you kinda realize that this film is not that flawless.
Between some rough shots of CGI, incoherent pacing and a non-existent middle act, this film actually works mainly due to fan service.
But...it manages to somewhat work on a actual cinematic level.
