Oppenheimer 2023
Uff, Oppenheimer is a well known figure of humanities history and i assume to all simply associated to the atomic bomb. This biopic does indeed eventually peak in excitement shortly before the first device is tested. The story however builds around this stringent narrativ and adds layers of mystery and superficialness…and wow it’s so fantastically done. Also, I haven’t a clue what mannerisms or peculiarities of character Oppenheimer showed; but Murphies depiction of the first ambitious and grandiose, then tormented scientist is bogglingly awesome.

Top Gun: Maverick 2022
Uff, quite the spectacle. Well done action-thriller that actually made me quite tearful towards the end. 3 1/2 sounds better if pronounced 7/10, a solid movie that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat at times, lunging for the seat-corners in all it’s American-style-over-the-top-heroism cringe-full glory, and actually speculating at times how the director’ll make a happy ending of it all after all.
