new horror subgenre and it’s just my life if everything had gone even worse. on a real note, i had no idea what other queers were on about until the final 20 minutes of the film. could have been more coherent throughout, but the finale was so impactful i cried for 30 minutes

A Quiet Place: Day One 2024
i don’t think you should go into this with the expectation of a horror/thriller because it’s really not that. i went with my sister who hates that stuff and when i asked her if she thought it was scary she said “no, it was really sad.” i have to agree. it’s more about death, loss, and accepting that you’re dying of a terminal illness than an actual scary movie but i think there is something appealing about it if you go in with the right mindset.
