I am completely, perfectly, and incandescently happy I watched this movie tonight. Unfortunately, it led me to purchase a pattern for regency short stays online, but yk what that's been a long time coming anyway.
So many things to say.
The cast on this is stacked. Bill Nighy, Miranda Hart, Rupert Graves, Gemma Whelan, Callum Turner, obvs Anya and creepy Josh O'Connor.
I think this was a funny choice for my intro to Mia Goth but I'm kinda into it...and it just makes me want to watch the X movies more so yay to that!
The stylistic choices for the costumes and sets were very interesting. Will definitely be searching out some videos on that.…
I got the soundtrack to this movie on cd from a goodwill in like 2019 and I've listened to it over and over but had never seen it until today. Can't believe I waited so long!
Love the costumes they feel so real! I miss when period projects tried to make costumes believable (if not completely historically accurate) vs things like Bridgerton that throw both believability and accuracy out the window for kinda no reason.
