  Point Break 1991

  I couldn’t believe how distinct the surfer vibe was. Keanu Reeves acted and talked like he had been a surfer for forever. The dialogues weren’t the most believable, because normally people don’t talk the way these lines were written, but it was fun. Patrick seemed like the Karate Kid, I wonder why he didn’t do a similar role (unless he did, idk about his whole filmography).

  I’m not such a big fan of these types of movies but I like watching them sometimes. It was more emotional than the previous ones, and not as laugh intensive. It was ok, but at some point it seemed like it refused to end. I don’t know at what runtime the balloon scene is, but it felt like the movie should have ended there and the 20 or 30 minutes after were just fluff.

  80% exposition
  10% scenery with music
  10% anything actually happens

  I have no idea why they would make a movie with Scarlet Jo about this. I would much rather sleep than watch this again. Maybe it was groundbreaking for its time, but I could care less about the “message” it was trying to prove.

  The only good parts were the scenery with music, which was redundant anyways.

  They were showing this in theaters and went with a couple of workpals after work. I couldn’t remember what was in this movie and what was in the others since they are all so long and have so many things going on. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to watch a 3 hour movie after a long day at work (because I was so close to just taking a power nap in the middle of the movie) but I…
