I like watching movies.
My favorite genre is horror but I'm willing to watch almost anything.
I was fairly certain I was going to enjoy part two more than part one, and I was correct. I don't think I had as visceral a reaction to this movie as most people on Letterboxd did, but I believe it's because I saw it in my living room instead of the way god intended; middle of the 4th row in a Dolby theater. Once the release date for Dune 3 draws near and they inevitably re-release the first two films in theaters, catch me watching both in Dolby*.
*Yes, this is an advertisement for Dolby.
I had forgotten how much I loved this movie since when I watched it upon release at an art house theater. Shot with an extremely unique, almost entirely square aspect ratio, practically every shot is a work of art upon freezing the frame.
With 'The Lighthouse' featuring only two main actors interacting with each other for most of the runtime (three if you count Sully the Seagull, which of course I do), Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe had to carry…
I can't believe they are getting rid of this ride. This and Expedition Everest were always my favorites at AK when I was a kid. I would usually convince my mom to ride it with me even though she would get scared and get motion sickness. Scary, exhilarating, and the line was a dinosaur museum, what's not to love.
