i don’t think any other film has fully captured what it must’ve been like to be jewish during wwII like this movie has. it’s honestly depressing.

Barbie 2023
I think this movie was quite average overall. It was visually amazing, had some great feminist dialogue and was surprisingly funny in parts, but the storyline was not there and it’s definitely overhyped.
There were many moments where the audience would be laughing and I thought I wasn’t understanding the joke or something but there was nothing remotely funny happening on screen and I was left confused and unable to fathom what people were laughing at.

i see why this movie won best picture. very heartwarming film. all the singing is actually fire and the bit at the concert where it shows you the parents perspective is so sad. AND THE BIT AT THE END. if you watch you’ll know what that means x. honestly a great film imo and so refreshing, especially the fact there’s no huge names in it, it’s all relatively new faces x love it. 5 stars
