Between Mark Ruffalo’s terrible acting (he can’t even do a decent Donald Trump impression? Can we please agree to stop hiring him?) and the many moments of unoriginality (ehem, Challengers?) the best parts of this were the Tim Key and Thomas Turgoose cameos. Good for them.

first half was much needed exposition, but dragged heavily and felt a bit patchwork. the second half was so much more engaging but still felt myself waiting for it to end at points.
my main takeaway from this is that 1) adrien brody is ripped and 2) joe alwyn is a terrible actor

but i did appreciate the anti-American sentiment 🫡

Bio-pics are usually hit or miss, but this one was a pleasant surprise. Chalamet wasn’t Chalamet here at all; he fully embodied the character and I didn’t question that he was acting at any point.
