Watching this is like having the most breathtakingly beautiful fever nightmare.
The sexualisation of an underage girl is undeniably terrifying and makes this movie very problematic I’m afraid. I wish this was directed by a woman (because only women can understand the loss of girlhood— and maybe the scenes would be less pedo…) and the actor for Valerie was at least 18. This is such a beautiful movie, even if you are left very confused a lot of the time.
Poor Valerie, being a 13 year old girl really sucks.
