I can try to be understanding, but whys hit me after anything happens in this movie. Why this movie? Why so many nominations? Why is the "representation" so awful? How is a movie this tasteless when trying so hard to hit every mark? I sit through every long drawn out scene or song just asking why. What could be but isn't, every attempt just makes me more shocked how they manage to have even messed it up anyway.

I enjoyed it, very whimisical. Timothée Chamalet and his plethora of versility when it comes to acting of course was on display here. Some of the characters costume design choices I quite enjoyed aswell! Not much else to say just was very childlike and wonderous. Hugh Grant being so awkward whatever in any role he is in even as one of the main actors is very funny. Him being the oompa loompa was definitely a fascinating pick indeed.
