this was a part of a feminist film collection and at first i thought.. huh it seems like they’re framing lulus existence and sexuality as destructive to the poor innocent men, not very feminist. Then i thought oh! it’s not lulu but the circumstances of patriarchy which destroy her and those around her Because she exists… but then someone chuckled when she was murdered and i remembered that the patriarchy exists irl too and i wanted to burn down the cinema!!! also it was a screening with live music and that was incredible bravo west side trio!
