In the Mood for Love 2000
I feel like I mostly liked this when I first watched it for the color grading, but on second watch this was so much more profound and heartbreaking. Wong Kar Wai is so patient and has so much restraint not to wrap up a narrative super neatly or explicitly say what's happening. Everything is so intentional and gorgeous: the colors, the framing, the dialogue (which albeit loses a lot of its depth through translation). so much grief and love and loss of a relationship they never had
