I think Brandon was very right about the opening scene being one of the best. I thought it had a good amount of humor in it, and kept me interested. I really liked, in particular, the shot of the cigarette being thrown, and the flames that erupted. The total chaos that followed was also really good. I loved the variety of languages and accents.
There wasn't much suspense, but I think it showcases a different purpose of the movie. Which is the question of morality against killing a man who cannot control his action. The last few scenes are definitely the most impactful, it has you questioning both sides of the situation. Who is actually at fault, and more evil. It exceeded my expectation. For a movie this old, I was surprised to see so many elements in the movie. The sets, special effects, and quality were all more advanced than I had expected. I thought the plot was very simple, and not as entertaining as modern films. But I can imagine the impact the movie would've had on those who lived in that time period.
