  If you’d told a younger me that the lead from The Hangover and that one actress from a random Doctor Who episode would genuinely become two of the finest workers in the industry today I wouldn’t have believed it. Cooper and Mulligan deliver career bests, seriously disappearing into their characters so well it’s eerie; and Cooper again shows he can really cook behind the camera. Story wise, while rich in earned pathos, I thought the narrative got a bit washy…
