  a beautiful concept, but one i struggled to believe.

  i was less inclined to believe the romantic ties between any of the leads, but rather its focus on friendship and how our favorite people have always been just that.
  it is so good to love and be loved. it is so good to have friends.

  oh!! haha. um ? silences were palpable, as was kidman’s goo lagoon. i’m having trouble grappling w my distaste for this movie as i’m not sure if it’s stemming from my own personal relationship w sex or the actual way the movie was done. really a true existential-crisis-inducing movie without any true, purposeful thought provocation.
  with the exception of some, i’m finding that A24 productions typically leave me unsatisfied. have they forgotten the beauty of context clues? do they know…

  i lost it when she started feeling herself up w a pool stick

  
  edit: for reference, i watched this on a saturday when the sun was blinding and my head was pounding and all i needed was a gallon jug of water and less alcohol in my system. i had a quiz the following monday on the lung, and decided this was my best bet for passive studying. everybody say thank you, cystic fibrosis!!
