The Menu 2022
Another film who’s trailers and sneak peaks showcased it to be a higher standard than it is in reality. The storyline was certainly interesting…basically a chef gone mad. There were some twists but those reveals do not outweigh the weirdness and confusion of the storyline. Anya-Taylor Joy’s performance wasn’t her best, this could be due to the writing, which I believe to be weak when it comes to character background. There is no doubt Ralph Fiennes can deliver on villainous characters, but this film it just felt weak. I wasn’t sold on its “theatrical” dramatics throughout the film, instead it felt forced and I just cringed.
