Could have been more suggestive..
A bit too straightforward for my taste and sometimes over explains itself, characters and their motivations.
Dialogue is unexciting.
Felt like the director made the movie thinking that audience is a bit slow and stupid.
Now that I’m almost done with complaints let’s move to compliments:
•really nice and strong acting performances
•interesting female characters (a bit flat and two-dimensional at times, but it’s bearable)
•hot actor
• the blue velvet dress is just wow..

First time I’ve watched it I thought this was one of the most pretentious pieces of cinema ever created with an annoying ostentatious French as a main character, who has a midlife crisis and discovers free will.
I was so wrong..
This time I saw it as a loveletter to life, philosophy, poetry, art and cinema.
Such a dramatic change of perspective, I am slightly shocked
