Donnie Darko 2001
I wanted to like this a bit more than I actually did. For some reason I found the movie really funny, there were just a lot of scenes that were hilarious for no reason and I actually questioned whether this was a comedy halfway through. Alas, it was not, and worse, the whole plot of this “sci-fi” movie, at least the sci-fi elements, are somewhat lazily thrown at you to figure out in the end. I watched a YouTube video…

God DAMN. Best drama I’ve ever seen? Not sure what really contends with this. I was debating going with an 8 or 9 because the exposition felt slow and confused me, but it makes perfect sense. Well calculated all the way through. The emotions are conveyed beautifully, not overdone at all in my opinion. MUST. WATCH. I will be watching again.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a loaded movie, legit felt like I spent the entire day watching this and not in a bad way. I can’t believe they added as many details in this thing as they did. Extremely well calculated and boldly defiant of movie norms as far as I’m concerned, can’t recommend this one enough!
