A Clockwork Orange 1971
God I cant begin to explain how much I absolutely despise this movie. My assistant manager at the time would always talk so highly of this movie and since I work at a theater, we had a monthly movie night. One fatefull night we decided to watch this movie and god damn it was so bad that I had doubts about any movie recs this specific assistant manager ever gave me after that point.

This movie was a brilliantly paced raw psychological horror of a family suffering with the effects of grief and mental illness. Although there are quite a few jump scares and sudden moments of shock horror, the real kicker is the masterfully crafted build up of anxiety and suspense that are at an absolute peak by the end of the movie. I wasn't scared by the movie but my anxiety was so fucking high by the end of the movie that i had to stress cry for a couple minutes until i could process what I had just watched.
