This film is empty at its core. I didn't feel any interest of the writer and director in one of his characters. Instead of showing how the characters live and experience life, the characters tell you constantly how they live and feel. Show don't tell – isn't it one of the first rules of filmmaking and storytelling? For me this film had the quality of a TikTok Video. Which is really sad because I was very much interested in the plot, theme and also in the idea of doing it as a musical. Just as off and empty as "Everything Everywhere all at once."
