I had to stop and write this review midway because no matter how much better this movie gets it had to lose at least 1 full star because you literally can’t just randomly sedate a person who isn’t a patient at a hospital. She is not a patient nor is she institutionalized. You can’t legally get randomly sedated visiting your family in the hospital and getting into a fight with them.

You get one star because I like you, Hugh Grant.
Otherwise, the dialogue had so many factual holes it was like my apartment walls when I lived with mice. I can’t tell if it’s a character choice regarding how “the truth isn’t even true” or whatever or if the fact checkers are just extremely bad at their jobs. Either way here’s what I noticed:
1. Reed attributed “With great power comes great responsibility” to Voltaire, correcting it from Uncle Ben.…

The more I think about this movie the less I like it. It’s not revolutionary or groundbreaking when a famous person flies out less famous people to a deserted island to SA them. Why did we need a movie about a Hollywood actor doing so?? That’s not meta or entertainment. That’s what’s really happening. Also Tatum’s acting was not nearly on par with Ackie’s. The color metaphors were heavy handed, there was zero subtlety with the “reveal”, it was all so unfortunate. I really cannot recommend this to anyone.
Also like VERY graphically shows SA and violence against women. Do NOT want to see that happening.
