    one interesting thing to note is how young the miners in this movie are/look as compared to the relatively older looking crew of the nostromo. i guess the demands of The Company are catching up with the pool of actors too.

    and of course the work of art in the age of mechanical reproduction is incomplete without slapping the face of the dead on a digital scarecrow: the perfect organism.

    Imagine white anthropologists conducting ethnography on a people and writing books about them which get featured in a movie written by white people based on the toilet book trivia cliffnotes version.

    It is as if you mistranslated an ill interpreted sentence thousands of time and used the result as legitimacy granting set dressing for your potboiler.

    I really loved feeling like I was constantly in the precipice of ironic satire and the author's actual beliefs on this movie. It mostly detracts rather than adds anything to the overall tone and aesthetic, but its fun to be reminded that bollywood movies are also capable of straddling this line.
