im usually a big fan of slow pacing but this didn't really work for me. a lot of this was too fake deep for my liking - the narration style especially. i wish the film had more moments like when jan asks christopher about his family or that whole portion at the end where he spends time with ron, those bits felt the most genuine and stuck with me the most.

I could spend a lifetime going on and on about how much this film means to me and it would never be enough. this time around, the silences are what stuck with me. you can repeat how an experience changes your life for days, weeks, months and maybe even years, but its impact can only be grasped in moments of quiet and solitude.
