Enjoyed this but it was a pretty run-of-the-mill documentary tightly controlled by its subjects. While it was interesting to hear the members of the band tell their own story, perhaps a few other perspectives/talking heads would have helped make this feel fuller. I understand the film is “Becoming Led Zeppelin”, so the focus is on the early days. Just leaves me wanting for more concert footage and talking process on the albums that followed I and II. I also think there…

Had more fun with this than I thought I would. Nothing in this film is subtle and that definitely feels like a choice. That said, much of this film feels too surface level to have much of an impact. I also think the New Years Eve show really needed another round of edits. But overall I enjoyed the gore and the fact they really went there with the absurdity of it all. That one scene where Elizabeth is getting ready for her date is probably the most affecting part of the film and really hits home the themes of self-hatred and insecurity.

if you told me I'd hate a movie in which Jake Gyllenhaal plays an over the top bisexual art critic in a movie where art literally murders people...I definitely wouldn't believe you. Wanted to like this film but ended up tuning out in the last thirty or so minutes. Too many thinly written characters and hardly any subtlety to be found in a horror movie trying too hard to be scary or edgy.
