Stopmotion 2023
I’m a HUGE fan of Robert Morgan’s animation work so I was excited to watch this movie. Although the premise of the story is interesting, the only moments of the film I found truly interesting were the stop motion sequences. The live action scenes were somewhat boring and unconvincing, I felt I was only watching to get more of the story about the ash man and I didn’t care about Ella at all. The monsters were absolutely beautiful and disturbing and I’m sad the rest of the movie wasn’t as incredible and terrifying.
