Perfect Days 2023
hirayama communicates so much about being alive that i find hard to put into words, and i cried because the small joys in the film reminded me that life isn’t supposed to be this hard. attention to detail, subtle character development, queer-coding (to me), plus music/sfx + lighting + editing + pacing make this a solid comfort movie ❤️ and a reminder to be present.
