  I did not enjoy this as much as I expected. 

  Costumes and set design: stunning. 
  Dialogue: average and one dimensional. 

  I kept hoping they’d find room for sincere fragility and vulnerability in the language of that time (The Favorite did it, I repeat, The Favorite did it), but they just didn’t. And i missed it. 

  I love vulnerable women with status, but after all, this felt like a very masculine movie to me. The older woman with a younger lover…
