Elvis 2022
If this is historically accurate, this is a great example of cultural appreciation vs. appropriation. Elvis was in the shits for real. Austin Butler did great. Don’t know how to feel about Hanks performance. A lil weird. Also, the relationship with his mom made me a lil uncomfortable. Maybe my mind is fucked but it almost seemed sensual and it was scaring me. Didn’t know where it was going. After she died I was like…oh ok. Overall I enjoyed it.

This movie was so stressful and there is nothing I hate more than gambling so ultimately I will never watch this movie again. But I’ll give the writers kudos for having so many storylines line up as well as they did. I never had a moment where I was like “wait who’s that again?” So that was nice.
