This movie never fails to make me cry. I watch it and I’m instantly transported to my childhood, yet every time i re-watch it i get something else, something different. Almost as if it where trying to tell me that no matter how old i get, or how far away all that childhood innocence seems, there’s always a part of me that will believe Totoro is there, sleepily rocking some leaves in the woods.
And i guess that’s what makes this movie so special.

Started watching this expecting a typical stand up show. I ended up in a weird mix of tears and laughter, deeply moved, unsettled in my chair. Don’t have enough words for the genius that is this hour and ten minutes of a journey to one’s self.

Dazed and confused but with an extreme urge to give Willem Dafoe a hug.
