A weird little thriller that's also not so thrilling and also very funny? One of the things that stood out to me most was the almost complete lack of score throughout the movie. Although there are several tense interrogations and bizarre meetings throughout the film, it was interesting to see how that lack of music affected how I felt. Rather than nerves, it was more discomfort. The feeling was there throughout - the discomfort of seeing an old friend who…

This was so dumb & fun! Just a delightful movie from start to finish. I was completely on board the moment that it became clear that Farmer Jim was going to be a mostly-motionless painting with only a moving mouth and it kept up with little bits and jokes like that throughout. Ok so, when the movie finished my boyfriend asked me if I liked it and I could only reply “I think so?”
On the plus side - Robert Pattinson is so fantastic. His voice acting is incredible and I loved how he physically differentiated the two Mickeys. Honestly most of the main cast is just fantastic. Love Steven Yeun being a weird little scumbag. Naomi Ackie is fab. The movie was silly & horny & overall fun and man does Bong Joon-Ho…

The cat sounds they used sounded so much like my roommate’s cat (who i love) and I was very stressed out any time the little cat was in danger! Honestly started tearing up early on because the yellow lab reminded me so much of how my family’s recently-deceased black lab was with cats and other little animals. Obsessed with the score. I almost cried a lot.
The animation was a little hit-or-miss for me. Beautiful scenery and the way the animals moved was great but I didn’t like their faces close-up.
