Moonlight 2016
Amazing movie. Loved that it was a romance movie but that unlike other romance movies we don’t find out what ultimately happens between the two main characters. It does a great job of developing Chiron’s character as-is, but by not disclosing him and Kevin’s romantic fate, the movie forces the focus onto the characters’ personal journeys instead of the low-hanging fruit of movie romance.

All time favorite. There is no competing against the historical rewriting, the epic love saga, Forest’s personal development, the way the footage is shot, and the friggin insane plot. Feel good movie of the century.
