this is so fucking weird. even the fact that it exists at all is weird. bizarrely slow, clunky and grotesque but also engaging and appealing and free. crazy stacked cast, even the secondary/tertiary roles shocked me - wilmer valderrama, dylan mcdermott, john stamos, natasha lyonne, chloe sevigny?? liked it but didn’t enjoy it. if that makes sense.

i didn’t cringe through this like i expected to! had some compelling moments and a lot of ham handed ones too, the last act fell pretty flat for me but i was there for the first 2. really impressed by harris dickinson, his performance was really nuanced and dynamic and human which kept it out of fanfic territory. i liked some of the choices nicole made (the guttural noises!!) but he was the standout for me. boring resolution kinda weakened the whole thing.
