Realizing my affinity for drama might have roots in my being Catholic …
First of all - the score, casting, and costumes are PERFECTION. Just phenomenal all around. Cinematography, script, pacing also all incredible. Ralph Fiennes was immaculate and Stanley Tucci is father (no puns intended).
Even though I knew about the ending, I still was able to enjoy the extent of the film. I get easily bored w movies but this one had my undivided attention the entire time…

Giving this 4 stars and not 3.5 single-handedly because of Miss Mikey. She tore it all the way up and was extremely convincing in every way that the screenplay allowed her to be.
Mikey was the standout but all the acting was pretty top notch IMO.
At first I was like “is this high-budget ‘Hustlers’ for Cannes?” But by the end, I did understand more why it’s gotten critical acclaim. That being said, I don’t think it should win Best…

Get Out 2017
Just an outstanding movie all around. The twists, the dark humor, the dialogue and characters are so well thought out and work in perfect harmony. “I would’ve voted for Obama for a third time if I could” and the psycho cereal eating are such good and accurate reads of white people. The only thing better than the movie is the message and think it is super well demonstrated in subtle and non-subtle ways.
