The Pig, the Snake and the Pigeon 2023
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I guess he was the pig based on the pig watch that he wore? Not a single mention of snakes or pigeons. The pacing was kind of clunky between the first and second half. There were some symbolism but they ultimately didn't really go anywhere. The ending pretty much rendered everything meaningless. Stunning visuals and action sequences I guess.

An almost idyllic paradise interrupted by brutal reminders of what was happening just next door. Atrocities committed beneath the veil of domesticity. The incongruency between the visual and audio. The quiet terror of habituation. The shockingly callous attitude dismissing it all as minor inconveniences, background noise.
A truly haunting film.

Atmosphere is stellar. Very claustraphobic and bleak. Plot takes the back seat, though. The struggle of automata versus humans parallel to the struggle of humans and their maker is expressed somewhat but not especially explored.
