shaun of the dead and hot fuzz had different types of audiovisual translation made for them (voice over and dubbing accordingly) and in general these types have different pros and cons but man i’m in awe at how russian translation of this movie for dubbing has turned out in comparison to the translation for a voice over of shaun of the dead
because in this trilogy it’s important to keep in mind all the foreshadowing and callbacks…
can’t believe the russian translation of this movie missed like half of the jokes and at times was straight up incorrect to what was originally said
i’m annoying myself at this point but i can’t help it
should’ve written my thesis about this instead of hamilton
don’t mind me rewatching this literally two weeks later

just having a bit of a hyperfixation on simon pegg
the “they told me when to go to bed” hits so close to home i can’t even describe it
