Heaven Reaches Down to Earth 2020
Some of the most stunning visuals and beautifully pulsating sound design combine to create a short film that completely encompasses the enigma that is queer desire and longing. Drawing comparisons between the magnitude of nature through shots of the South African landscape, and the breadth of the experience of exploring your sexuality is what makes this 9-minute short more impactful than most full-length feature films. The colour grading was magnificent, as well as the aspect ratio changes, showing both the glory and the details of the queer experience.

This film acts as Wes Anderson’s love letter to journalism and all its quirks within the stories that are told.
