a perfect film if you ask me. i love the realness of Varda, that she pulls you into world and sacrifices nothing else. touring back then was different, how beautiful to write it into a script. gorgeous ways of paralleling their lives and even through the way the camera enters the scene. I'm remembering a zoom into tree branches and then overlay behind a flowered bush to the tour vans driving up a mountain. extant beauty.
