I'm Still Here 2024
A solid performance from Fernanda Torres. Although slow moving at times, depicted the strength of family unity and strong support a mother has to keep her family safe while searching for justice. Rio in 1970, that alone has all the components of sun, fun and drama!

Challengers 2024
It did taken me a week to post my review. I needed more time to marinate over this one. The flirtatious sporty comedy takes the viewer on a rapid journey of back and forth timeframes. This did make it difficult for me to keep track of what was going on. However the film did accomplish its message well. Zendaya just knows how to manipulate her boys balls to her advantage. Great use of the camera, and how the director depicted the intensity of the game to give it a smashing win.

Ferrari 2023
Penelope Cruz, one of my all time female leads, portrayed an angry Laura, rightfully so, strong Oscar nominee but not a winning role. Adam Driver was what I went in expecting him as Mr. Ferrari. The film did catch my attention, but I could have eventually streamed. It made me think of the power of branding and the messages that over time were kept ‘under the hood’ if you will. The lira buys press, brand recognition, fame and fortune.
