I used to be a brother

“Iron Claw” is a devastatingly beautiful film that dives deep into the complexities of brotherhood, the rigid confines of traditional masculinity, and the gut-wrenching reality of loss. With powerful performances and sensitive direction, it’s a movie that sticks with you long after.

Everyone interprets the main idea of this film differently, but in my opinion, one of the main ideas is:
    Art absorbing the Soul
Film shows how art can influence an artist’s life. Elisabet Vogler, a famous actress, suddenly stops talking, likely overwhelmed by her acting career. Her silence is a way to avoid the stress of performing. Alma, her nurse, represents the audience, who plunges into the artist’s world, risking their own sense of self.

This is one of the best movies I will never watch again—not because it’s bad, but because the emotional intensity is overwhelming, and I fear I might not experience the same emotions again. The disgustingly good performance makes you feel so many emotions at the same time: resentment due to injustice, anger towards others, and pity for the main character. This film demonstrates the misleading nature of innocence and reminds us that words have the power to build people up and give them life or tear people down and bring them death.
